Billed as “Outsider Art,” this exhibit of more than 200 works by 27 “amateur” artists dating from the 1930s to 2010 comes to the Philadelphia Museum from the collection of Jill and Sheldon Bonovitz. Outsider artists typically have no formal training or connection to the art world and don’t earn their living as artists. But what these creators may lack in education and technique, they more than make up for in their inventive, moving works, which include paintings and large-scale environments.-Visit Website
